Some men are robbing the homes of wealthy people when they are out. But when the owners of the place they are currently robbing come home early, they kill them. That's when the driver goes off and tries to go on the run with his wife and baby. But his cohorts find him and kill him. She gets away with her baby. She later leaves her baby. Alex is taken with the baby and decides to care for her. Walker, who is investigating the robberies, discovers the link between the baby's mother and the robbers so he tries to find her before the robbers do. A man joins burglars to make money to feed his family. When things go wrong, he is killed. His wife and baby escape, but she has to abandon her baby with Alex. Alex cares for the baby while the case is solved. Alex learns she is pregnant.
